Cold pier oil is made of refined mineral oil based on refined mineral oil, mixed with high-performance vulcanized lard and vulcanized fatty acid esters as the main agent, and has good lubricity, extreme pressure wear resistance, rust resistance and high-temperature oxidation safety. It is mainly used for the molding of carbon steel cold heading, warm heading nuts, high-strength bolts, sleeves, hollow and semi-hollow rivets, etc., and can also be used for the molding of aluminum rivets.

However, many companies use mechanical oil that does not meet the standards to replace cold heading engine oil, because the price of oil that does not meet the standards is relatively cheap. In fact, using non-standard oil with lower unit prices is actually not cheap. The reasons are as follows: the replacement frequency of cold heading oil is low, and it is generally mainly added, and the loss of oil is almost volatile and taken away by the workpiece. The volatile part of the non-standard oil during use exceeds 15%. If the volatile amount of cold heading oil is used, it can reduce the total oil consumption by more than 10%;

The density of non-standard oil is close to 0.93kg\/liter, while the density of cold heading oil is about 0.87kg\/liter. Because industrial lubricating oil is calculated based on weight, the same volume of oil is taken away by the workpiece. The non-standard oil is about 6% heavier than the cold pier oil; the quality and qualification rate of the product will also be improved by the improvement of the lubricating performance of the oil.

Another important point is that the flash point, anti-wear and cooling performance of cold heading engine oil are better than non-standard oils, which will reduce oil mist evaporation and improve the workshop environment during the production process.
